Dunstaffnage Castle. 13th century
castle built on a rock with a great curtain wall. The castle's colourful
history stretches across the Wars of Independence to the '45 Rising. Briefly
the prison of Flora McDonald.

Dunollie Castle in Oban. The
present ruins date from the 15th century and a Clan McDougall stronghold.
We were honoured to have a private tour of Dunollie House behind the Castle.
The 40 foot high sea-stack of conflomerate rock, the 'Dog Stone' is pictured
in the foreground.

Inveraray Castle. Home of the
Duke and Duchess of Argyll. Since the early 15th century Inveraray Castle
has been the headquarters of Clan Campbell. The present castle was built
in the third quarter of the 18th century.
Oban,
gateway to the Isles. Plenty of fabulous mountain and loch-side scenery
for which Scotland is famous. This little town took our breath away,
not to mention fast food Haggis on a stick!
