Malcolm & Leslie McDougall

Hello family, friends and fellow Internet surfers and welcome to our home page! We are using our home page to share with you our life adventures, skills, hobbies and talents. We know it has been a long time since these pages have been updated but our lives are quite busy lately.

Malcolm & Leslie
How We Met

Funny, how two people who were destined to meet and eventually marry were born in the same hospital. Of course, when you are born you are not instantaneously searching for your soul mate. In fact, we didn't meet until 30 years later.

Have you ever wondered who the "girl next door" may be? Well, that's how it happened. Malcolm rented the apartment right next door to Leslie! After meeting, it didn't take long to become inseparable. Our first real date was dinner at Red Robin and Spanish Banks beach. Little did we know, we would be married 9 1/2 weeks later! On August 2, 1995, we were blissfully wed on a little island in the middle of Pyramid Lake in Jasper, Alberta on our camping trip. We reside in sunny White Rock, B.C. and love our neighbourhood. On December 27th, 2000 we had the addition of Cameron Angus McDougall and on December 21st, 2002 we had the addition of Duncan Ross McDougall to our family.

In 2005, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with a trip up to Jasper with our boys. We also visited the Island where we got married. It was also a superb surprise to have a reunion just before we left on our trip to Jasper with our memorable Alaskan witnesses (the only attendees at our wedding). Thanks Bill and Mikell -- you made our ten year celebration memorable.

Our Interests

We have a wide range of interesting hobbies that are a very important part of our lives. Malcolm is still restoring his 1959 GMC fleetside pick up truck and enjoys repairing, upgrading and networking computers. Malcolm is employed as a regional equipment manager in the golf course industry and also takes an active role in landscaping and home projects. He truly is a man of many trades and talents. Leslie is a part time paralegal and a striving, talented musician. She dedicates her spare time playing flute with the South Fraser Concert Band. Her idol is the first lady of the guitar, Liona Boyd. We both enjoy camping, travelling and golf and spending time with our boys.
