The Cab

The rest of the cab was stripped down to the bare metal. Some serious rust was found in the upper windshield frame once the windsield was removed. New steel was fabricated and installed into the area. The entire cab was sprayed with PPG's DP-40, follwed by a two part primer, block sanded to perfection, and topped off with a coat of Glasurit's Glassodur tintable primer.

The Box

The fleetside box had been a utility trailer since 1973. The box sides were the only thing that could be salvaged. They were acid dipped, hammered straight, welded up, and finished off. A roll-pan was made for the box with cut-outs for the exhaust tips. The stake pockets were filled, and the tailgate chains removed in favor of internal latches for a cleaner look.
